My mom got a little sidetracked and forgot to get this post up on time. Anyway, last week I turned 22 months old. Here's a little update.
I'm very steady on my feet now and can now run quite fast too! Not only do I climb the stairs very well, but I also think I'm big enough to walk down the stairs rather than scoot down them. It scares my mom though so I try to scoot still. I'm talking much more these days, saying new words all the time. A recent change is that I wake up from my nap but don't necessarily want to get out of my crib. I guess I am just asserting my right to make some decisions on my own. Mom seems fine leaving me to myself for a few minutes.
I love playing with all my toys and my brother's toys are even better. I'm having fun getting a rise out of him. Sometimes it is just so funny to see his reaction when I knock down his latest lego tower! HA! He is hilarious!
I'm still crazy about books. Curious George is a current favorite. I'm also obsessed with the music from the Curious George Christmas movie. I could listen to that all the time and I even ask for that specific music. If I say "monkey hum" my mom knows what I'm looking for. I'm learning a few songs too. "Five Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed" is pretty awesome too!
Another thing I like to do is dress myself. My mom was nice enough to rearrange my dresser drawers so that I can reach my pants and shirts.
I like cereal for breakfast. A bowl of Cheerios is the best. It's also really cool to sit up at the kitchen counter next to my brother. I feel just like a big kid!
