My 21st birthday!!! (21 months that is)

I'm the ripe old age of 21 months today. Let's see if my mom and I can come up with a good monthly update for you.

I like singing songs. My current favorites are "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "the ABC's." There is an alphabet chart on the wall above my changing table and I like it if my mom or dad sings that song each time I have my diaper changed. I know the arm movements to "Itsy Bitsy" and if I'm not feeling shy I can sing it on request. It helps if you sing along with me. I sometimes throw in a little "Patty Cake" too. Oh, and I can't forget about "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes"!!

My mom doesn't like to admit this, but I definitely like cartoons. The way the TV is set up in our living room I can walk on over and turn it on by myself. Cool huh? I really like Handy Manny. He's my favorite and I get so excited when I get to watch an episode. I've also been asking to watch the Curious George Christmas DVD. There is a neat song in that movie and I keep singing "monkey hum" to see if my parents will get the hint.

I'm still a huge fan of books. I've got my own little library over here which is pretty wonderful. And I'm also starting to put books back on the shelf rather than just leaving a big pile on the floor. My toys are pretty wonderful too. And my brother's toys are even better!

I'm talking a bit more these days too. I say words like shoe, cat, kitty, boot, book, milk, please, more, Handy Manny, meow, choo-choo, cheese, mommy, daddy, Robby, baby, nose, body (bellybutton)... I'll let you know if I can come up with any more. That's just a list of what I say... I understand much, much more.

I'm getting particular about my clothes. The other day I had a fit over a pair of pants that my mom wanted me to wear. Oh, and I think clothing should be optional. Diapers too.

Hmmm. Think it is time to get my bangs trimmed?

I have a love/hate relationship with my highchair these days. Some days I love it, other times I really hate it. It's all part of fine tuning my tantrum skills. Got to keep my parents guessing. Oh, and I HATE having things taken away from me. Below was a photo of my reaction when my mom took away her iPhone.

I have some new teeth coming in. Not sure what that brings the grand total up to. But they did make me cranky a couple of weeks back.

In general I'm a full fledged toddler. I'm quickly coming up on my "terrible two's" and let me tell you... I'm working on my 2's attitude whether my parents like it or not.
