Today I had my first well visit with the pediatrician. I'm happy to report that all went well. Less than 2 weeks old and I'm already back to my birth weight and that means that I'm eating really well (thanks mom!). The doctor called me "feisty" because I protested some as she examined me, but I calmed down the second that my mom was able to pick me up for a snuggle.That's about it for news around here.
p.s. The doctor did say that I had not passed the hearing test for my right ear and that I'd have to go back in to have that retested. However, we just found out that she had incomplete records. The lady from El Camino Hospital called to tell my mom that the I was retested the day after I was born and passed! Somehow that information hadn't made its way to the doctor. My mom wasn't concerned, but she's happy that is one less errand to run.

I used to work on a program (including for CA!) that was designed to help hospitals and pediatricians communicate hearing test results better and make sure everyone got excellent and prompt follow-up in case they failed. Sounds like some works still needs to be done...
